This stunning version enhances its design with our proprietary CPM SPY27 steel. Developed in close collaboration with Crucible Industries, this cutting-edge powder metallurgical steel augments the cobalt-enriched chemistry of VG-10 stainless steel with niobium, nitrogen, and increased amounts of carbon, molybdenum, and vanadium. The resulting material offers an exceptional balance of edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. This Delica 4’s satin-finished, fully ground PlainEdge blade takes full advantage of these properties, and is paired with a lightweight, injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle in distinctive cobalt blue, one of the signature handle colors of Spyderco’s elite SPY27 knife family. The handle also houses the knife’s robust rear locking mechanism and a four-position pocket clip that lets you choose whether to carry it point up or down, left or right.
