The original M249 (LMG) light machine gun, previously designated as the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), is an American version of the Belgian Minimi, a light machine gun made in Belgium. The weapon provides infantry squads with the heavy volume of fire of a machine gun combined with accuracy and portability that approach that of a rifle.
One of the most famous machine guns that have withstood all US conflicts since Operation Desert Storm made its way into the classic army armory. Praised for its extreme durability and firepower, the M249 CA007M is similarly comparable in the airsoft field. This AEG is a full size replica built with all metal furniture to ensure sturdiness.
